Welcome to Tambellup
On July 1 2008, the Shires of Broomehill and Tambellup formally merged to create the new Shire of Broomehill-Tambellup. A new website for the new Shire is currently under construction, however until its launch, details of meetings will be posted on the Broomehill website.
A Special Meeting of Council of the Shire of Broomehill-Tambellup will be held on Wednesday 2 July 2008 at the Tambellup Council Chambers, commencing at 4.00pm. The agenda for this meeting can be accessed here.
Tambellup is a progressive rural community located within the Great Southern 328 km south-east of Perth and 126km north of Albany. Tambellup has a population of 675 people, with approximately 350 people residing in the townsite. The Shire covers an area of around 1,437 square kilometres.
Tambellup is only a short distance to neighbouring Shires of Cranbrook, Gnowangerup, Broomehill, Katanning and Kojonup.
